Mike Howerton
The work of ministry can often be brutal on the work of God within a minister’s life. Multiple surveys conducted recently found disturbing results: 70% of Pastors couldn’t identify one authentic friend in their lives. 68% claimed their spiritual life was less vibrant today than it was 5 years ago. And the dissatisfaction of Pastor’s spouses regarding the ministry was at an all time high.
Mike has spent the last 29 years serving Jesus within the Church, including the last 15 in the Lead role (at Overlake Christian Church in Seattle WA). This provides him a rich store of empathy, where according to the Celtic tradition, Mike can be a gracious soul-friend to those shouldering ministry burdens. He plays the role of confessor, truth-teller, and loving encourager. The official relationship developed is a Coaching relationship with the pastor or church leader.
Mike has logged over 10,000 hours of Public Speaking, and has coached (both in one on one platforms and from stage) hundreds and thousands of leaders. Mike is passionate about helping church leaders become their best, healthiest selves, live joyfully, and operate at their peak performance levels. He loves working with those who desire an even greater level of success and significance. And he’s a really good listener.
Not only does Mike invest in Pastors and Church Leaders locally, Mike develops international relationships, and builds into the leadership of the Global Church through 1-3 Pastoral Training Mission Trips yearly.
